My children are programmed to crave food and water the moment we get into the car. Whether I’m picking them up from school or driving to a sports practice, they are always hungry or thirsty…in the car.
I got tired of feeling a step behind, so I came up with a plan…and it worked!
I created a Car Snack Bin.
It contains:
- hand sanatizer
- healthy snacks like raisins, beef jerky, and granola bars
- water
The bin is situated between the seats and can easily be pushed up and out of the way.
The days ofย “I’m hungry. I need a drink. Can I have a snack?” are gone. They help themselves, fill their tummies, and actually eat and drink LESS knowing it’s there.
We are all happier.I’d love for you to follow the House of Hendrix below. Feel free to also follow me on Pinterest or join or Facebook community.
I love this idea. I don’t think I would use a permanent bin as I don’t have as much car space, but leaving a couple of granola bars or boxes of raisins in the glove box or door pocket is totally doable too! One of those obvious ideas, that I needed someone to point me to. ๐
You are exactly right Sharon. So obvious yet it took me 8 years to figure out. ๐
