We’ve found a few tricks which make it simple, quick, and fun.

Here’s how we do it.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 10 ounce bag of marshmallows
  • 6 cups of Rice Krispies
  • colorful sprinkles
  • wax paper

The first tip is to use a heart shaped mold pan. You can buy one here. We use ours for everything from brownies, to cookies, to pizza.Heart shaped mold pans are great to add a little love Spray the bottom with Pam cooking spray.

TRICK: Lay the sprinkles down into the pan next.

If you try to add them to the top of the Rice Krispie at the end, THEY FALL OFF. So put them in the pan before you lay the Rice Krispie mix.Lay the sprinkles into the pan first. This will keep them fromfalling off.Melt the butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until fully melted. Remove from heat. Add cereal and stir until mixed well. Put mixture into heart shaped mold.

Tip: Use Wax Paper to press mixture down into the sprinkled pan. The Wax Paper will keep mixture from sticking. You can also use a spatula covered in cooking spray.rice crispieAt this point, my kids and sprinkle it with imaginary love….our final ingredient.

After it has cooled and set, flip it out onto a platter.

The bottom will become the top which is festively covered in sprinkles which are now embedded into the treat.plain red rice crispie heartClean up is simple because there is little sticky left on the pan.
